Quebec provincial police are renewing efforts to gather information about Liam Toman, who disappeared a year ago at Mont Tremblant. The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) will establish a command post at the ski resort this Saturday, located near the hotel where the 22-year-old from Ontario was last seen in the early hours of Feb. 2, 2025. Investigators aim to trigger memories by conducting this operation at this specific time.
SQ Sgt. Marc Tessier stated that the objective is to engage with tourists and regular visitors who frequent the resort annually. Tessier emphasized the importance of being present during the same weekend Toman went missing, as there might be individuals who were there last year and are returning.
The circumstances surrounding Toman’s disappearance remain a mystery. Surveillance footage captured him multiple times on the night he vanished, but he subsequently disappeared. Although his wallet was later found, there has been no activity on his social media accounts or bank accounts since that night.
Toman’s mother, Kathleen, will be at the resort this weekend, stationed at an information booth next to the police command center. Kathleen Toman expressed hope that visitors might recall details or thoughts that could assist in advancing the case. She encouraged visitors to review old photos taken at the resort during the same period last year, emphasizing that even the smallest detail in the background could be significant.
A reward of $50,000 is being offered for any information that helps locate Toman. Police urge anyone with relevant information to visit the command post on Saturday or contact the Sûreté du Québec.
