House Democrats in the U.S. revealed a set of photographs from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate on Friday, featuring individuals such as Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton, and ex-Prince Andrew. The Democratic lawmakers from the House oversight committee shared less than 100 photos out of over 95,000 received from Epstein’s estate. The images depict Epstein with various celebrities, including Trump, Clinton, entrepreneur Richard Branson, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, filmmaker Woody Allen, and Trump’s former chief of staff Steve Bannon.
Among the photos are shots of Microsoft founder Bill Gates, with one including former Prince Andrew at a London summit in 2018. Notably, the pictures do not provide clear evidence of any criminal activity. The Democrats released the photos in two batches, with the second set showing Epstein with a swollen lip, in a bath, and posing with a book about his scandal. These images reveal Epstein’s associations with influential and well-known individuals but do not expose new information.
The photos, sourced from Epstein’s estate, were made public by the Democratic members of the House oversight committee. Meanwhile, the Republican-led committee has been actively seeking documents and materials from the Epstein estate. The Democrats’ decision to release these photos is viewed as a political maneuver to keep Epstein’s past connections with Trump in the public eye and to pressure the Department of Justice to release all investigative material as required by law. The White House, in response, accused the Democrats of creating a false narrative about Trump and Epstein.
Individuals featured in the released photographs, such as Bill Clinton and Prince Andrew, have made statements regarding their connections to Epstein. Clinton admitted to traveling on Epstein’s private jet but denied knowledge of his crimes, while Prince Andrew faced repercussions and denied wrongdoing following revelations of his ties to Epstein. Moreover, Harvard professor Larry Summers announced stepping back from public roles after correspondence with Epstein was revealed from the estate’s emails.
