“Heated Rivalry” Stars to Carry Olympic Torch

The stars of the hit Canadian hockey series, “Heated Rivalry,” have been selected as torchbearers for the upcoming Milan Cortina Winter Olympics in February. Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie, known for their roles as Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov in the show produced by Crave, will be part of the torch relay.

Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov, portrayed by Williams and Storrie, are depicted as elite hockey players and fierce rivals on the ice, navigating complex emotions off the rink. The series, “Heated Rivalry,” will debut in Italy on Feb. 1 via HBO Max, an official broadcaster for the Milan Cortina Games, while Canadian viewers can continue enjoying it on Crave.

With just 16 days remaining until the Olympic opening ceremony on Feb. 6, the torch’s journey continues. Following its immense success in both Canada and the United States, “Heated Rivalry” has already been greenlit for a second season. The show is based on the gay hockey romance series “Game Changers” by Rachel Reid, with the screen adaptation crafted by Canadian writer Jacob Tierney for Crave.

Jacob Tierney, who also serves as co-writer, director, and executive producer of the popular sitcom “Letterkenny,” as well as an executive producer and director on the hockey comedy “Shoresy,” has been instrumental in bringing “Heated Rivalry” to life on screen. The series has generated significant buzz among viewers and critics alike, sparking conversations within the hockey community and beyond.
