A recall has been initiated for garlic powder available at Dollarama, advising Canadians to refrain from consuming the affected product. The recall pertains to Heavenly Spices brand garlic powder packaged in 70 grams and distributed nationwide. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) shared the recall notice issued by the dollar store chain earlier this week. CFIA’s directive instructs individuals not to use, sell, serve, or distribute the implicated product. The seasoning is being recalled due to contamination with Bacillus cereus, a bacterium known for causing food poisoning. Symptoms of infection from Bacillus cereus may include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.
