Facing Belgium in the final, Canada maintained control throughout the match, clinching a 28-10 win with standout performances from Lockie Kratz, Jack Shaw, and Ethan Turner. The tournament, which featured eight men’s and women’s teams, provided a pathway for teams to advance to higher-level competitions.
By winning the Rugby Americas North (RAN) Sevens tournament in Trinidad, the Canadian men earned their place in the HSBC SVNS Division 3, after being relegated from the top tier in June 2024. Despite a restructuring of the sevens series that impacted promotion opportunities, Canada’s determination and skill have propelled them back into contention on the international stage.
