Miha Fontaine Wins Bronze at World Cup Aerials

Canadian freestyle skier Miha Fontaine secured the bronze medal in the men’s competition at a World Cup aerials event held on Monday. Hailing from Magog, Quebec, Fontaine achieved a score of 107.73, marking his inaugural World Cup medal in his career. Last week in Lac-Beauport, Quebec, the 22-year-old narrowly missed the podium, finishing fourth on the competition’s second day.

The gold and silver medals were claimed by Chinese skiers, with Li Xinpeng clinching the gold with an impressive score of 137.19, outranking Wang Xindi by 25.19 points. Emile Nadeau from Prevost, Quebec, secured fifth place with a score of 104.49.

In the women’s category, Kalia Kuhn from the United States emerged victorious, earning the gold medal with a score of 105.6. She was followed by China’s Xu Mengtao with a score of 105.17 and Australia’s Danielle Scott with a score of 85.65. Alexandra Montminy from Lac-Beauport achieved the highest Canadian ranking, finishing in seventh place.
