Olympic ice dance gold medalist Guillaume Cizeron has spoken out against his former on-ice partner Gabriella Papadakis, accusing her of spreading false information ahead of the Milan-Cortina Winter Games. Cizeron, now partnered with Laurence Fournier Beaudry, claims that Papadakis is behind a smear campaign fueled by her upcoming book, “So as Not to Disappear.”
Papadakis and Cizeron were highly successful in ice dance, setting numerous records and winning multiple championships, including Olympic gold and silver medals. However, in excerpts from her book, Papadakis painted a picture of a strained and imbalanced relationship with Cizeron, describing him as controlling and demanding.
Cizeron expressed confusion and disagreement with the allegations against him, especially given the timing just before the Winter Olympics. He denounced the content of Papadakis’ book, stating that it contains false information and attributions that he considers serious and untrue.
Papadakis also revealed personal struggles in her book, including past traumas and emotional challenges. Cizeron, on the other hand, emphasized his respect for Papadakis over their long partnership, despite the recent strains.
Following their successful start as a new duo, Cizeron and Fournier Beaudry have been making waves in the ice dance circuit, winning competitions and establishing themselves as top contenders for the upcoming Olympics.
