The Canadian-produced show, available on Crave, delves into the fictional narrative surrounding the clandestine relationship between two male hockey icons who grapple with the fear of public disclosure.
During the filming process, De Simone stood in for Hudson Williams, a Canadian actor portraying Shane Hollander in the series alongside American actor Connor Storrie as Ilya Rozanov. De Simone remarked on the unexpected success and global recognition the show has garnered since its release.
Apart from his on-screen duties, De Simone collaborated closely with Williams to impart authentic hockey gestures, including a distinctive on-ice maneuver showcased by Williams on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” De Simone’s involvement in the series stemmed from a familial connection, as his cousin, Sam Willetts, was part of the production crew before tragically passing away.
