Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce’s Secret Wedding at MSG Sparks Excitement

Swifties, the moment you’ve been waiting for is almost here. All eyes are on Madison Square Garden in New York, where Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce are set to exchange vows at 5 p.m. local time on Friday, as per a permit obtained by The Associated Press.

Despite the clear indications, event organizers and city officials are making efforts to keep the wedding details under wraps. The permit for a “Special Event at MSG” was greenlit by New York City’s permitting office on Wednesday night, confirmed by a spokesperson for Mayor Zohran Mamdani.

According to sources, the permit is linked to the famous singer and football player and includes plans for a pre-party celebration commencing at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday with around 100 guests attending an intimate rehearsal dinner.

The permit also reveals that a street closure around the Manhattan arena will be enforced overnight to set up various tents and entrances for the main event on Friday at 5 p.m., possibly extending until 4 a.m. the following day.

Speculations have been circulating for months that the renowned New York venue would host the celebrity couple’s wedding, and recent sightings of crews unloading equipment from unmarked trucks behind barricades have fueled the rumors.

Noteworthy items such as a large carpet and a box labeled “40-inch mirrorball,” possibly referencing Taylor Swift’s song “Mirrorball” from 2020, have been seen. However, the couple’s representatives are yet to confirm any details about the festivities.

While details remain unconfirmed by the couple, city officials are hinting at the upcoming event. The New York City Police Department acknowledged the busy weekend ahead with Independence Day celebrations, the World Cup match, and a significant “event” at Madison Square Garden.

Authorities are taking strict measures to ensure privacy during the celebrations. Crowd-control barriers and “no parking” signs are being installed around the venue, and the police aviation unit and drone teams will be monitoring the airspace to prevent unauthorized drones.

Guests at the events are reportedly required to adhere to a strict no-phone policy, and tents will be set up to shield arrivals and departures from public view. Reports suggest that attendees have been asked to sign non-disclosure agreements to maintain confidentiality.

Fans eagerly anticipating glimpses of the wedding festivities or any insider details may face disappointment as strict measures are in place to safeguard the couple’s privacy throughout the special occasion.
