Three men who accused actor Kevin Spacey of sexual assault have reached a settlement for their civil claims before the trial at the High Court in London, according to court documents. The men claimed that the Oscar-winning actor had abused them between 2000 and 2013. Kevin Spacey has denied the accusations. The civil trials, scheduled for later this year, were halted by Judge Christina Lambert, who stated that the parties had agreed to the terms of the settlement.
The terms of the settlement were not disclosed, and the judge did not address the issue of costs. The order, made public on Wednesday, was dated the previous Friday. Spacey’s representatives have been contacted for a comment.
In 2023, Kevin Spacey, now 66, faced trial in London for nine alleged sex offenses involving four men and was acquitted of all charges. Two of the civil claimants, whose identities are protected by legal orders, testified during Spacey’s criminal trial. In a separate case in 2022, Spacey successfully defended himself against a $40 million US civil lawsuit filed in New York by actor Anthony Rapp from “Star Trek: Discovery.”
