The Vancouver Goldeneyes staged a remarkable comeback in the third period to defeat the Boston Fleet 4-3 during a tour stop at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. Claire Thompson, Sophie Jaques, and Izzy Daniel each scored goals in quick succession to secure the victory.
Boston took the lead with a goal by Jamie Lee Rattray early in the third period, but Vancouver fought back with goals from Thompson and Jaques. Daniel then scored the go-ahead goal, and goaltender Emerance Maschmeyer sealed the win.
Tereza Vanišová and Michela Cava assisted on Thompson’s goal, while Daniel and Hannah Miller contributed to Jaques’ goal. Olivia Mobley scored Boston’s first goal, answered swiftly by Miller for the Goldeneyes. The game remained intense, with both teams having their chances, but it was Vancouver that emerged victorious.
Aerin Frankel made 17 saves for Boston, while Maschmeyer stopped 24 shots for Vancouver. The win marked Vancouver’s first victory on the road this season. The game was part of the ongoing PWHL Takeover Tour for the 2025-26 season.
