“The Buzzer: Your Daily Guide to the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics”

The Milan Cortina Winter Olympics have commenced, with the opening events including mixed doubles curling matches featuring Canada against Czechia. The Canadian women’s hockey team will have their first game on Thursday, followed by figure skating on Friday and the official start with the opening ceremony. Medal events will kick off on Saturday, signaling the fast-paced nature of the Olympics.

For those not deeply immersed in these sports, keeping track of what, when, and who to watch can be overwhelming. To assist with this, The Buzzer will provide daily updates until the closing ceremony on Feb. 22, ensuring Canadians are well-informed and can fully enjoy the Games.

The newsletter will be delivered daily, even on weekends, after the day’s competitions in Italy have concluded (six hours ahead of Eastern Time). While the release time may vary, approximately 7 p.m. ET is a good estimate for most days. Each edition will cover Canadian achievements, noteworthy news, and preview the upcoming day’s key events.

A highlight of the newsletter is the daily viewing guide, a popular section that outlines Canadian athletes with strong medal prospects for the next day’s events, along with their competition schedules and background stories, enhancing the viewing experience.

Existing Buzzer subscribers are all set, while new subscribers can sign up for free by entering their email address and confirming their subscription to receive the latest updates promptly.

Let the Games begin!
