Alannah Keyser, a 21-year-old contestant, has been ousted from the ongoing season of Love Island USA for using a racial slur in a surfaced online video. This removal occurred shortly after the Miami-based college student made a dramatic entrance during the Casa Amor episodes in the reality dating series on Peacock.
Upon her arrival at the villa on June 21, a video reemerged showing Keyser appearing to sing along to a song containing the N-word, believed to be rapper Roddy Ricch’s 2019 track, “The Box.” In a typical fashion for the show, narrator Iain Stirling announced her sudden departure during Thursday night’s episode, stating simply, “Alannah has left Casa Amor.”
Despite initially connecting with contestant Zach Georgiou, fans noticed a decline in Keyser’s screen time following her introduction in Season 8. Some Reddit users observed that she was prominently absent from Tuesday’s episode.
This incident involving Keyser is not an isolated case for the current season or the entire franchise. Prior to the season premiere, Vasana Montgomery was removed from the cast after resurfaced clips showed her using a racial slur. Similarly, in the previous season, both Yulissa Escobar and Cierra Ortega were also expelled for similar reasons.
