U.S. President Donald Trump has granted multiple pipeline permits, including one for a new pipeline construction, to enhance the transportation of crude oil and petroleum products between the U.S. and Canada. The White House documents reveal the issuance of the permit for constructing pipeline facilities in Burke County, N.D., to the Bakken Pipeline Company.
In addition to the new construction permit, other permits have been issued for the maintenance and operation of existing pipelines at border locations. These permits include authorization for the Bakken Pipeline Company to maintain and operate pipeline facilities in Burke County, N.D., and for Enbridge Energy to operate and maintain existing pipeline facilities in St. Clair County, Mich., and Pembina County, N.D.
