Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were living it up during their time in Vancouver. The couple stayed at a super-luxe Fairmont Pacific Rim, having been spotted arriving in a convoy of three large blacked-out SUVs on Friday evening local time.

The five-star Fairmont is considered one of Canada’s most luxurious hotels and boasts the prestigious Chairman’s Suite, a £5,000-per-night accommodation which has been nicknamed the ‘Rock Star Suite’ – likely chosen by Harry and Meghan.

The two-storey, villa-like space overlooks the harbour and boasts its own rooftop patio containing a gazebo, meditation pond and fire pit. The master bedroom, which is located on the top floor, comes complete with a fireplace, king-size bed and a sprawling 500 sq ft marble bathroom with a hand-carved soaker tub. And a custom 8-foot Swarovski crystal chandelier cascades over the living area.

Guests – which have included Hollywood star Tom Cruise and singer Ed Sheeran in the past – can also make use of a private elevator, two living room areas, a kitchen, pantry and even a wine cellar.

While Meghan and Harry were kept busy during their time in Vancouver, they had some time to unwind in the evenings. And they might have been tempted to a little tipple – the hotel is also lauded for its cocktail menu, which includes a ‘Dirty Harry’, a vodka based drink, with dry vermouth, ginger, and pickled cucumber.

Harry and Meghan spent a total of three nights in Vancouver before relocating to Whistler for the adaptive winter sports portion of the Games on Monday.

During their stay in the city, they headed out for a low-key date night with Canadian singer Michael Buble and his wife Luisana Lopilato. The two couples enjoyed dinner together at Vij’s Indian restaurant, and chef Vikram Vij proudly later wrote on Instagram: “Another incredible night at Vij’s. When food brings people together, magic happens!

“We were honoured to once again welcome Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Michael Bublé, and Luisana Lopilato for another unforgettable evening at Vij’s.

“Sharing great conversation, incredible flavors, and the joy of coming together — this is what dining is all about! A special night made even more meaningful as we celebrate the opening of the 2025 Invictus Games — a powerful tribute to resilience, courage, and the human spirit.”

Having enjoyed an evening out on Saturday, Harry and Meghan spent Sunday night meeting with Invictus competitors’ friends and families before watching injured veterans go head-to-head in wheelchair basketball and wheelchair curling.

Writing on her Instagram account, Meghan said: “Let the games begin! Get ready for a week of heart, hope, and heroes in action. Join us in cheering loudly and proudly to show just how much these competitors and their families mean to us.”
